Upstate Warrior Solution

Upstate Warrior Solution's (UWS) mission is to CONNECT warriors and their family members to resources and opportunities, LEAD them through the process of self-empowerment, and INSPIRE the community to embrace local warriors and their family members as valued neighbors and friends. Our vision is to restore our warriors with a sense of purpose and to empower the Upstate community to be responsive to our warriors and their families. We use the term “warrior” because we also serve Reservists, National Guard, and active duty. UWS serves the five counties of Upstate South Carolina: Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg.

UWS recognizes that a holistic approach to case coordination is need for long-term wellness; our programs focus on five primary pillars of assistance: housing assistance, healthcare and benefits coordination, workforce development, quality of life support, and family services. Other complementary service areas include legal assistance, fitness and adaptive sports, spiritual support, therapeutic art, and social programs. Through these programs, three primary goals continue to exist at the forefront of the organization—ending homelessness, reducing unemployment, and ultimately preventing suicide.
