About 

GirlUp GVL is a community-powered, charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to equipping middle and high school girls with the tools, support, and confidence they need to lead thriving lives. Our programs focus on cultivating belonging, leadership, and real-world skills—providing everything from after-school mentorship and counseling to career readiness, life enrichment clubs, and paid internships.

Our mission is to enrich young women with positive formative experiences that replace obstacles with opportunities.

Our core initiatives include:

• Life Enrichment Program – Afterschool and summer sessions offering creative clubs, field trips, academic support, and character-building experiences.

• GrowU Internship Program – Paid summer internships for high school students with community business partners.

• On-Site Leadership Groups – Weekly or bi-monthly in-school programs focused on identity, confidence, and leadership development.

• Individual Success Planning (ISP) – One-on-one coaching to help girls set goals and plan for their futures—educationally, emotionally, and professionally.
