Mission: Community Foundation of Greenville improves the lives of Greenville County residents through strategic philanthropy, community investment, and collaborative leadership.

How we achieve our mission:

• We work with families and their financial advisors and estate planning attorneys to arrange bequests that extend their charitable commitments beyond their lifetimes. We help families and individuals establish Donor Advised Funds to support charities they care about and make their giving tax-efficient and cost-effective.
• We use our unrestricted assets to be responsive to local needs and make an impact throughout the Greenville community. We grow these assets by earning fee income from the funds we administer, gifts to the Annual Campaign, and bequests that are left to the Foundation for the benefit of the community.
• We support important projects and nonprofits in the areas of arts, education, environment, health, and human services through our various grant programs. We also administer scholarship funds that are awarded in accordance with our donors’ wishes to assist students with furthering their education.
• We strive to be a leader in the community and involved in projects that address the community’s evolving needs. We work with funders, organizations, and other stakeholders to collaboratively fund projects.
